Lot 665

1892 Barber Dime. PCGS graded Proof 67. Wonderful blue and gold toning. Pop: 10, none higher at PCGS in Proof. A satiny frosted gem of the most advantageous order for a collector. Its high degree of broad-spinning mirror luster pulses beneath rich gold and blue highlights. Nicely struck, too, with just outstanding detail in Liberty's head and the simple by nicely presented "wreath of cereals" reverse. Charles E. Barber designed this, and the first year of issue (1892) there were 1,245 Proofs made (PCGS # 4875) .
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.

Realized $4,025
