1851 Silver Three Cents. NGC graded MS-62. Lightly toned. Dullish luster from the 75% silver, 25% copper composition; these never appear bright and silvery, even the finest Gems The mint seemed to get the message by 1854 when it not only revised the design but improved the alloy content to 90%silver (PCGS # 3664) .
