1901 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 64. Mostly untoned. A high degree of luster distinguishes the satiny silver gray surfaces of this rare 1901 from others of the date which are less pulsating even though in technically similar MS64 grade. Collectors familiar with the series will recognize this difference at once. Don't chase it and overpay, but also don't underestimate the challenge you'll face from the other bidders. Only 813 proofs issued. Pop 68; 70 finer. (PCGS # 7336) .
