1798 Draped Bust Dollar. Heraldic eagle reverse, close date. PCGS graded VF-35 Large Eagle. 13 Stars. Later die state with extensive die breaks as described in Bowers. Smooth, even wear with typical field abrasions and medium gray color. Lighter gray highlights.1798 BB-115 is known to the extent of about 175 to 300 coins, and is one of the more elusive issues of the year. Most are of Die State IV, as here (PCGS # 6873) .
