Lot 1599

1795 Flowing Hair Dollar. 3 leaves beneath each wing. PCGS graded EF-40. Light hint of gold toning. The most familiar variety of 1795 with its short raised die line behind Liberty's head, this is a popular one because the 3 leaves under wing variety is given a separate listing in the Red Book. Collectors who want the major varieties will select it for this reason. Choice with smooth surface, a few planchet and brown toning streaks, with typical weakness on the (high relief) central hair. Pop 104. (PCGS # 6852) .
Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000.

Realized $11,500
