1913-S $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely gold toning. Low mintage of 34,000. Pop 402; 17 in 65; 1 in 66. Don't let the population figures misguide you, the 1913-S is a grand date that collectors love to acquire (when the coins are available in choice Mint State 64 condition, that is). The luster is superior for the issue, make no mistake about it, and moderately bright fields peer through rich flaming-gold coloration. All devices were struck with such force and determination by the dies that elements show with excellent detail (PCGS # 9163) .
