1911-D $2.50 Indian. NGC graded MS-62. Bold mint mark. Well struck and untoned. Key date to this series. When enthusiasts of 20th Century gold lead into the subject of the 1911-D Quarter Eagle, they usually cite its impressive low mintage and its fixed-for-all-time rarity. What is often ignored, however, is its condition rarity beyond the obvious fact that the choicer Mint State rating the more challenging it becomes.
