1936 York Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. Light even toning. Choice for the grade. Pop 436; 22 in 68. The surfaces are radiant, pulsing with silvery color, and quite lustrous. York County, Maine was incorporated in 1636. This half dollar marked the 300th anniversary of the event. Perhaps the rest of the country yawned at the event -- since those who have never visited York County, Maine aren't missing much other than some rugged landscape -- but collectors often look forward to their first purchase of this 1930s stylish commemorative half dollar (PCGS # 9449) .
