1800 Draped Bust Dollar. "AMERICAI". PCGS graded VF-30. Toned to natural gray and russet borwn shades from long, careful preservation by its former owners who wer, undoubtedly, studied collectors of the bust dollar series. A die imperfection, possibly caused by the slip of the engraver's tool when finishing this reverse die, caused a raised line in the form of the letter "I". It's occurrence right after the word AMERICA accounts for this coin's nickname. It is a popular Red Book variety that all collectors will want to consider acquiring (PCGS # 6892) .
