Lot 935

1883-CC $5 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-58. A high grade example, very well struck with all design elements sharp and clear. Quite a lot of mint luster remains in a rich golden color. Breen, no 6725, comments that this date is seen "usually in low grades" and that it is "prohibitively rare above EF." This handsome specimen is considerably above EF and well worth the attention of specialists. Pop 12, with 2 in 61 and 1 in 62 (PCGS # 8362) .
Estimated Value $6,500 - 7,500.

Realized $7,188
