1883 Indian Head Cent. . Snow-1, 1883/3, Scarce. PCGS graded Proof 66 Brown. Light chocolate brown surfaces with stunning blue, violet and mint iridescence. No hairlines of any sort are found on this beautiful superb gem. Slight repunching is seen above the right top of the 3 in date, a diagnostic of the Snow-1 variety. The 1883 has the largest proof mintage of the entire run of proof Indian Cents, 6,609 coins being struck in this format. A common proof date in an uncommon and aesthetically outstanding condition (PCGS # 2336) .
