Lot 2669

1922-S $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-63. A frosty specimen with ample luster and eye appeal. Slight streaks of lavender toning just below branch. A tiny magenta spot at tip of ray above Capitol. There are several small ticks on the obverse and reverse, most noticeably a horizontal tick below the foot in rock, but none are of the degree normally seen on MS-62 pieces. PCGS has graded 243 in MS-63, 124 in MS-64, 6 in MS-65 and a single MS-66 as the finest (PCGS # 9174) .
