Lot 962

Morgan Dollar. 1879-CC. PCGS graded MS-64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PQ. Gorgeous deep mirrored fields that still show signs of the original die polish lines. Liberty and the eagle are just soaked in mint frost. The cheek and neck are pristine and lustrous. There appears to be an old fingerprint that touched the obverse field at 7:00 years ago. This "prehistoric" fingerprint has settled into the natural look of the coin and is not distracting. Reverse fields are flashy and display light lavender toning. Unquestionably one of the finest 1879-CC dollars to exist! PCGS population of 20 in 64DMPL with only 2 in MS65DMPL (PCGS # 97087) .
Estimated Value $7,000 - 8,000.

Realized $21,275
