Draped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1804. PCGS graded Fair-2. A popular key date from the early Draped Bust quarter series and U.S. quarter series as a whole. A basic outline of Liberty can be seen, as well as remnants of the stars and LIBERTY. The date is actually quite sharp. Reverse detail is the same as the obverse with the outline of the eagle, stars and clouds and STATES weak. No lettering is seen from 3:00-9:00. Both sides display dark hues of maroon, blue and yellow. The first year of issue of this short lived design, 1804-1807 (PCGS # 5312) .
