Lot 177

Flying Eagle Cent. 1856. PCGS graded Proof 63. Mahogany brown surfaces with hints of iridescent toning. A few faint hairlines exist in the fields but there are no scratches or nicks so it is an even compromise. Diagnostic die lump on the serif of N in CENT. An issue that always enjoys strong demand and the proof issues are generally the coin of choice as business strikes are quite a bit more rare. PCGS has graded 120 in this grade (PCGS # 2037) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.

Realized $13,225
