$10 Gold Indian. 1908-D. With motto. NGC graded MS-65. A stunning orange-gold gem! As impressive in qualtiy as the 1908 No Motto prior and 1908-S that follows. Magnificent satiny fields are fully lustrous and the entire coin is well struck. Appearance of this issue in such a high grade is excessively rare. David Akers stated "One of the most underrated dates of the Indian Head type". Furthermore, Akers' research pointed out that while the mintage figure of 836,500 is one of the highest for this series, the 1908 -D With Motto is one of the rarest issues in gem condition. Many of the most famous collections had examples that were similar in condition to this piece. For exampe, Norweb, Eliasberg and Price to name a few. NGC has grded only 2 in MS65 with only 7 finer .
