1916-D Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. If you thought the other Gem toned 1916-D Half Dollar in this sale was pretty, wait until you see this jewel. The colors and the toning patterns are nearly identical, but this one is slightly smoother and silkier in appearance. The strike is exceptional and the surfaces are essentially flawless. In the MS-66 grade, this date becomes very rare. NGC has graded only 16 coins at this level, with only 7 higher (all MS-67's).
