$3 Gold. 1879. PCGS graded MS-64. Well struck and very choice with the fields exhibiting semi-mirror surfaces on both sides. A popular low mintage date as only 1000 business strikes were made. Most likely from the Beck hoard that was disbursed in the 1970's at auction by our neighbors Abner Kreisberg and Jerry Cohen (PCGS # 8001) .
