Lot 1685
1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. The obverse has the familiar "tab" toning seen on many toned commemoratives. This is from the original cardboard holder in which these were shipped to collectors at the time of issue (see other lots in this sale). Deep gold at the periphery, save for where the tab crossed, the reverse brighter. Good luster and well preserved, with just a handful of ticks scattered in the fields.
