1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA. PCGS graded Fine-12. Mostly glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate with darker chocolate brown toning in the fields and protected areas on the obverse. The planchet is smooth except for some very fine roughness in the obverse fields. No verdigris, only light contact marks. The notable ones are a few nicks on the throat, a few more light nicks at BE in LIBERTY, a very light rim bruise at the Y, and a rim nick over E in UNITED. EDS, Breen state I, before any die clashmarks. The date and legends are clear. Our grade is F12, same as the PCGS grade. A decent low to mid-grade example of our popular Chain Cent. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3, many finer. (PCGS # 35438) Value $10,000 - UP
