1793 S-2 R4+ Chain AMERICA. PCGS graded VF-30. Glossy steel and chocolate brown. The surfaces are smooth and show only a few trivial contact marks. The notable ones are a thin nick on the chin and a tiny rim bruise over the F in OF. The date is clear and the legends are strong. Late die state, Breen state II, with minor swelling through the base of the 93 and clashmarks on the obverse. A premium mid-grade example of our classic Chain Cent. Graded VF25 net VF20 and tied for CC#19 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #62682. Our grade is VF20 (although the reverse would grade at least 5 points higher). The attribution and Nancy & Bryan Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 7 finer (PCGS # 35435) Value $30,000 - UP
