Sale 115

Lot 1018

1883. Without "CENTS". PCGS graded MS-67. CAC. PQ. Boldly struck with a hint of natural tone on both sides. Here is a fantastic condition rarity, not only is this a short-lived type coin, issued for just a few months in 1883, but it is one of the finest known today. The surfaces are virtually pristine, and lack any signs of distracting contact with other coins. This is truly an outstanding example of this first Liberty nickel. Pop 56; 3 in 67+. (PCGS # 3841) Value $1,400 - 1,500

Realized $1,980
