Lot 325

1793 Chain Cent Basal State-1. Slightly glossy dark steel and olive brown. The surfaces are covered with fine roughness and there are traces of glue or some similar substance on the obverse. The only notable mark is a rim bruise at the top of the reverse. The date and legends are gone but the outline of the portrait is reasonably clear and the links of the chain are essentially complete. There is too much wear to be certain of the die variety. Not pretty but it is a Chain Cent. Estimate Value $700 - UP
Ex Ed Nowak 1/1985-Bob LaForme (includes the LaForme collection envelope).

Realized $840
