Lot 703

1853 Liberty Seated Half Dime. Arrows. ICG graded MS-67. Our consigner notes that this coin is a possible proof as the devices are all needle sharp and the die shows extensive polishing lines. Regardless, this must have been an early strike, although both dies show clash marks. Further, this is no ordinary half dime, but a wonder gem that grades MS-67! The surfaces are pristine, with nary a mark to be found anywhere. As to toning, this one is stone white, perhaps there is a faint layer of gold, but overall, this on has little or no toning on either side. Make sure to view it to make your own determination as to its status. Whatever you call it, this coin is stunning.
Estimated Value $6,000-UP.
