Sale 109

Lot 1069

1919-D. PCGS graded MS-64. Nicely toned. This is one of the key dates of the series, with a paltry mintage of 1,165,000 pieces. This one shows a fully outlined thumb on Liberty, but some of the central skirt lines are flat--as nearly always seen on this prized issue. Toned with a mix of antique gold and russet shades, spanning both sides. Scarce this nice and downright rare any finer. Pop 84; 19 finer, 7 in 64+, 11 in 65, 1 in 65+. (PCGS # 6578) Estimate Value $20,000 - UP
