Lot 1244

1920-S. PCGS graded MS-65. Pop 26; 2 finer, 1 in 65+, 1 in 66. Lovely toning on both sides of antique tawny gold blended with hints of nickel blue. The strike is somewhat soft, as typically seen for any 1920-S nickel, but the luster is complete and close scrutiny of the surfaces finds how incredibly clean and mark-free they are. Needless to say, this is a rare date and mint in the gem grade range, and collectors far and wide fight over coins like this when they appear (PCGS # 3946) Estimate Value $11,000 - 12,000
