Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 100

Lot 83

1877. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Well struck with some mint red visible in the recesses of the design. The date is sharp and the surfaces clean for the grade. As expected the N is shallow on the central reverse, diagnostic of this date and seen on all examples other than the Proofs issued. Popular key date that is missing from most collections, and provides great satisfaction when an example of the 1877 cent is finally obtained. Pop 38; 19 finer, 18 in 65, 1 in 66+. (PCGS # 2127) Estimate Value $3,500 - 4,000

Realized $4,700
