1847 N-7 R2+ VF30. Ten points sharper but there are some contact marks scattered over the obverse, including a nick just right of the nostril and another on the eyebrow. Lightly cleaned and retoned glossy medium chocolate brown with a splash of darker chocolate toning on the right side of the neck. Traces of mint frost remain visible in protected areas, especially on the reverse. Rare LDS, die state e, with clearly defined rim cud breaks from the 1 in the date to star 1, star 2 to star 3, and star 11 to star 12. All three cuds are strong. Tied for CC#5 for the die state in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $150-UP
