Lot 99

1806 C-2 R4 Small 6 with Stems PCGS graded VG8. Glossy medium steel brown with darker chocolate brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth except for a small area of very fine roughness at the denominator. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a fine vertical hairline scratch in the curls. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The date is strong and the legends are clear. A small curved planchet clip affects the rim just right of the Y in LIBERTY and the opposing rim at RIC. An attractive lower grade example of the popular Small 6 with Stems variety; the mint error is a bonus. Our grade is G6. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 11 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $300 - UP
