1880 Shield 5C PCGS AU58. PCGS graded AU-58. Only 16,000 minted of which merely 100 examples are estimated to have survived. Mostly untoned with some minor handling marks. This is the key to the circlation strikes in the Shield nickel series, and a coin which is sought after by legions of collectors. Here is one in the prefect grade, AU-58, just enough wear to confirm circulation, but retaining virtually all of the original appeal of a mint state coin.
