1855 N-10 R1 Italic 55. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. CAC Approved. Frosty mint red fading to light steel brown, nearly 75% of the mint color remaining. Sharply struck and very attractive. The only notable marks are a faint horizontal planchet void at star 4, a dull nick on the tip of the nose, two tiny spots of carbon at the dentils over UN in UNITED, and a couple more over that E. EDS, die state a. A sharp, beautiful example of the popular "Italic 55" type. Our grade is MS64. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 66. (PCGS # 406175) .
