Lot 88

1805 C-1 R2- Repunched 5 PCGS graded AU53. Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Satiny luster shows in protected areas on the reverse and this piece offers outstanding eye appeal. No spots or stains, only a few microscopic marks of no significance. A tiny pinprick in the field over the ribbon near the back of the head is a good identifying mark. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0. Narrow rim cud breaks show over MER, IC, and off the right end of the wreath ribbon. The dentils around the reverse are weak but still visible, the reverse is not rotated, and the repunching at the top of the 5 is visible. Our grade is VF35+, close to EF40. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 9 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $750 - UP
