1817 N-16 R1 15-Star Obverse PCGS AU Detail Cleaned. Frosty medium steel brown with lighter steel brown and tan in protected areas. The toning is attractive and we do not think this cent was ever "Cleaned" as claimed on the PCGS label. No notable marks or other defects, just lightly worn on the highpoints. LDS with the stars drawn to the rim and a cud break over AM in AMERICA. A nice example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Our grade is EF45. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36598.
