Lot 829

1913. PCGS graded MS-66. Well struck throughout, including all the areas that are often poorly struck up on the reverse. The obverse and reverse are deeply toned with flecks of russet gold and dappled areas over lustrous silver surfaces, clearly original but lacking the organizational qualities that sometimes occur from long storage. This is a low mintage date, with a scant 188,000 struck for circulation and precious few were saved. In fact, this coin is tied with a handful of others at the top grade numerically, with a few others just nudging it out with the "+" for the finest seen by PCGS. A key date in gem condition that should not be overlooked. Pop 6; 4 finer in 66+. (PCGS # 6527) Estimated Value $5,000 - UP
