Lot 800

1842. Medium date. PCGS graded MS-65. Well struck and nicely toned with most attractive golden russet hues blended with silver gray. The strike is sharp on the central devices, and numerous thin die cracks are seen around the reverse periphery. An elegant early Libertry Seated half dollar, with ample luster and strong visual appeal. Furthermore, this is a condition rarity at this grade level, and worthy of any top notch date or type collection. An impressive Gem in every way. Pop 3; only 1 example graded higher in 66 at PCGS. (PCGS # 6239) Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000
