1835 N-8 R1 Head of 1836. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. CAC Approved. Glossy light olive and steel brown with 10% of the bright mint red remaining on the obverse and more than a third of the original red showing on the reverse. The only notable mark is a small spot of reddish brown toning on the front edge of the neck. Great eye appeal. MDS with a strong die crack up from the dentils through the 1 in the date along the bust and neck to the back of the ear, then weakly up through the head to the bottom point of star 8 where it fades away. Called MS64 by Bland. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 2 finer in 65. (PCGS # 37061) .
