Lot 753

1828 N-6 R1. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. CAC Approved. Lustrous light olive and steel brown with attractive overtones of light bluish steel and hints of sea green. Just a few minor marks on an otherwise choice cent, including a small, dull nick on the front edge of the neck and a spot of darker chocolate brown toning over the C in CENT. LDS. There are numerous tiny lumps from die rust on the obverse, as always, plus several fine die cracks. These includes one from the bust tip to the dentils under star 1, another from the tip of the coronet through star 6, and a final one from the hair bun to the dentils right of star 9. Called MS63 and tied for CC#4 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #21378. Our grade is MS63. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. And it comes with a great provenance. PCGS population 2; 2 finer in 65. (PCGS # 36889) .
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
