[Lincoln, Abraham] Vintage Ohio State Presidential Campaign Banner. Ohio's Union support is displayed in a cotton banner with white stenciled letters and stars on a brown background, 17" x 14", c. 1864. The banner boldly states "Ohio / Union / Lincoln." Frayed around the edges; small insect holes moderately scattered throughout. The banner has been handsomely mounted, matted and framed to an overall size of 24½" x 21½". Very good condition. When John Brough defeated Copperhead Clement Vallandigham in the 1863 Ohio Governor's race, Brough had received a congratulatory wire from Lincoln: "Glory to God in the Highest. Ohio has saved the Union."
