Lot 713

1838. No Drapery. PCGS graded MS-64. Evenly toned with tawny gold throughout over lustrous fields. The strike is a tad soft on the obverse high points, but sharp enough elsewhere. First year of the new Gobrecht design on the quarter dollar denomination, and these are quite elegant and were well received. Rarely is this date found this nice, and seldom much finer. A lovely example. Pop 25; 11 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 5391) Estimated Value $5,500 - 6,000

Unsold
