Lot 686

1857-O. PCGS graded MS-61. CAC. PQ. Boldly struck on all the devices, with a full separation on Liberty's curls as well as the eagle's feathers. The fields and devices are lustrous and frosty with nice gold toning. An expecially handsome coin, with excellent surfaces and rich golden appeal. The O mintmark is large and tucked up under part of the lower arrow feather, as it would otherwise overlap some other letter or device due to its size. Only 34,000 struck. Pop 9; 18 finer, 13 in 62, 5 in 63. (PCGS # 7784) Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000

Realized $4,800
