1850-C. PCGS graded MS-61. A nice frosty coin which is one of the very finest known of this popular and elusive Charlotte issue. Classic orange gold color throughout, and attractive luster in the fields. The strike is sharp on all of Liberty's curls and the surrounding stars, the reverse shows the usual worn dies around the eagle in the fields, and the large C mintmark shoved high into the base of the branch, arrows and tallons below the eagle. A condition rarity in any Mint State grade. Only 9,148 struck. Pop 7; 5 finer, 4 in 62, 1 in 62+. (PCGS # 7756) Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000
