$10 National Bank Note. Second NB, Springfield, MA. Ch. 181. Fr. 613. PMG Very Fine 20. Chartered in January 1864, the Second would only issue Large size notes before liquidation March 1906. This is the only $10 Red Seal known, with another $5 Red in the census out of a total of 20 notes. A nice mid-grade example with pen signatures of C.H. Churchill as Cashier and W.G. Morse, who served together from 1900 until the bank's liquidation. Estimated Value $750 - UP
