The third of four banks to charter in Middletown and the largest issuer with just under $10 Million in banknotes issued beginning in May 1865. A bold red seal and charter numbers highlight this mid-grade example. Stamped signatures of William Burrows as Cashier and E.K. Hubbard as President, who served together only from 1905 until 1909.
