1823. Overton-103, Rarity 2. PCGS graded MS-62. Boldly struck with nice even gold and russet toning. The strike shows a hint of softness on Liberty's curls and some of the star centers, but all the important devices are present as expected for a mint state piece. Scarce early dates in the Capped Bust half dollar series are always in firm demand by collectors, and this 1823 is destined for an advanced collection.
