1857 N-4 R1 Small Date MS62+. Lustrous medium brown and light chocolate with generous traces of slightly mellowed mint red showing on both sides. Just a few trivial marks, including a tick on the nose before the eye and a small spot of darker toning over the center of the N in ONE. M-LDS, die state b. The point down from the bottom of the inner hair bun is short but still visible. Both sides show a few very shallow low spots, as struck. A nice example of the Small Date version of our final year of Large Cents. Estimate Value $500 - UP
