1794. O-101, Rarity 3. NGC graded AU-55. A hint of classic gunmetal gray tone on both sides with flashes of orange-gold in the devices. The date is well struck with full flowing curls on Liberty and all of the feather detail on the eagle's wings. A popular date and the first year of issue of the half dollar series. Remarkably well preserved as so few of these even survived, and finding one with just a touch of wear like this takes years of patient searching.
