Lot 62
(c.1783) Washington Token Double Head Cent. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Tied for the finest graded by PCGS with a total of 4 coins, this magnificent brown coin has a strong strike and clean surfaces for the grade. We note a few stray marks, most of which are dull and not distracting, and the surfaces are free of spots and problems such as pitting. These popular Washington pieces were stuck by an unknown maker apparently from Birmingham, and have turned up in non collector accumulations of the period. Estimated Value $1,800 - 2,200.
