Lot 614

1854 N-30 R6- EF45. This looks like a choice red & brown mint state cent, but it has a bit of very light friction on the highpoints and has been beautifully recolored. Glossy olive and steel brown with lustrous mellowed red covering the protected areas on both sides. No spots or stains. The only marks are a few tiny ticks on the cheek and neck, none significant. EDS. The repunching under the 185 is dull and faint, but the tiny die lines on the reverse are clear. CC#5 of 26 known of this rare variety in the Grellman census. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
