Lot 607

1854 N-3 R1 PCGS graded MS65 Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive lustrous light steel brown with traces of mint color remaining on the reverse. Subtle hints of light bluish steel overtone show in the fields and protected areas. Sharply struck with excellent eye appeal. The only defects are some tiny specks of darker toning around MERI and the T in CENT. E-MDS, die state a, showing a fine diagonal line through star 6 to the hair above I in LIBERTY. Our grade is MS62+, close to MS63, and CC#5 for the variety in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 2; tied for the finest MSBN examples graded at both services for the variety. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
