Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 100

Lot 603

1879-CC. PCGS graded MS-63+. CAC. Well struck and lightly toned with pale gold hues on both sides, ample luster and mostly white in appearance. The eagle's breast feathers are sharply defined as well as the hair over Liberty's ear. Most of nicer coins in uncirculated grades of this date fall into lower grade ranges than seen here. A powerful example of this sought-after date and mint. Only 750,000 were struck, far fewer survive today (PCGS # 7086) Estimate Value $6,000 - 6,500

Realized $7,638
